Senior Associate, Retained Executive Search

 

The Role:

We are seeking a very refined, thoughtful, and professional individual to spearhead the candidate development process throughout each highly specialized nationwide search. This role collaborates directly with the Founder and President of the firm in driving all aspects of our retained searches. Our search team members are responsible for working with premier Financial Services and Private Equity clients, managing the day-to-day details of specific search engagements, facilitating discussions with candidates, and directing internal teams. An integral part of the Senior Associate's role is relationship management, including networking and building strong relationships with senior executives (as potential candidates or clients) and assessing them against the search project requirements

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Serving as an expert and strategic consultant to internal and external clients.

  • Understanding the growth, trends, culture, and technical/operational specifics and challenges in each client’s industry, firm, division, and group.

  • Collaborating to develop an effective search strategy, quickly understanding and translating the client’s strategy, structure and talent needs.

  • Executing the search strategy through collaboration with the Partner leading the search.

  • Instantly developing rapport with potential candidates through industry knowledge, deep understanding of our searches, and an inherent desire to add value to their careers.

  • Representing the firm as a senior member of the organization, with accountability for the work.

  • Establishing and maintaining professional and well informed internal and external communications.

  • Optimizing utilization of the firm’s resources and infrastructure.

 

Qualifications

Prior recruiting experience, with a preference for experience in the financial services industry (wealth management, insurance, asset management, capital markets, or banking).

  • Working knowledge of competency based, behavioral or structured interviewing highly preferred.

  • Passionate about recruiting, an inherent intellectual curiosity, and a strong comfort level speaking with senior level executives regarding various industries and functions.

  • 2-5 years of experience in a recruiting or corporate talent acquisition function.

  • Preference for individuals who have actively recruited at the senior management level.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and engagements simultaneously.

  • An exceptional ability to sell candidates on opportunities as well as accelerate long-term business relationships.

  • Experience growing, serving and maintaining existing client relationships.

Education

An undergraduate degree is required. An MBA or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
